what kind of machine, what type and or color of pad. and what do you use to cut and buff.

Cut with 1500 then 3000. Compound with white pad. Swirl remove with blue. Glaze with black. If you buy it I'll do yours if you let me use it too. I gotta do my car still

what is the name of the wax or buffing compound. and you are using a foam pad right.

Three pads. White, blue, and black. 3m perfect-it compounds you need are the same color of the pads, makes it simple

if you're just trying to shine it up not totally slick it out you use 3M Trizact 3000 on a d.a. then skip compounding and go straight to swirl removal and glaze. Black cars are always the worst to do

as for a machine a makita multi-speed corded is what I like best of machines I've used before. And yes those are foam pads

You're gonna spend over 100 for the pads and compounds just so you know. But it's usually enough to do two or three cars
