It stalls out on her when she's leaving to workin the morning & contiinues to stall @ lights. Runs fine after it's been running for a good 10-15 minutes. Turns off more with A/C on.
The car is a carb'd 305 with the triangle edlebrock air cleaner. Could that be the problem? Either way I need to have that replaced, what should I look for in a stock air cleaner?

It cant be in the air cleaner. What are you volts on your battery? Cause these third gens cant run with out a battery like most cars can run off the alternator. I would check your volts first.

does it use a regulator with a return line in it? does it start right back up? does it only die when it is in gear? what is the idle set at?

I don't know what the idle is set @. How do I check?
It only dies in gear, it does indeed start right back up.

ok see the fuel line that is below the one with the filter on it??? it runs along with the feed line. it looks as though it turns down. where does that line go.

it might be dying in gear if it has a/c still working. as with a carb there is no idle up on it. it may just need some fine tuning also.

The line you speak of goes to the power steering pump...
Will you be coming over Friday to settle that deal with neighbor? If so we can check it out then.....

ok wait a minute. there are three steel lines coming from the tank. 1. 3/8 line that is the feed line--should be the one your filter is on 2. 5/16 line--this is the return line 3. a 1/4 line which is the emissions line or vapor line. are you telling me one of those steel lines goes to the power steering pump?
